Summer is not my favorite season because it gets pretty hot where I live. However, one reason that I do love summer is because I love fresh strawberries. I'm in love with a great strawberry filling recipe that I found and it goes great with my white cake and vanilla almond buttercream frosting. I made this cake for my cousin's first wedding anniversary last week and I'm making another one today. It has become one of my favorite summer treats!
I make my fillings from fresh ingredients. I love the chunks of fresh strawberries in this one.
